I'd be interested to know over what sort of timescale the study was conducted - we know the body is so efficient at resetting its metabolism in terms of energy and fuel, pushing back to attain homeostasis.

I wonder if you were to follow this for three months or perhaps a year, if your fat loss stats would be the same as they were in the first month - not necessarily compared to other forms of high intensity exercise but against the original baseline.
